Burlington Coat Factory – North Charleston
We just completed another commercial project for Burlington in North Charleston, SC. This is a 55,000+ square foot department store, and will be at the Northwoods Mall. We worked many long nights and days, and the project got completed ahead of schedule! We’re always grateful for every project we get, and this was a fun commercial job to work on.
Ceilings
For the ceilings, we sprayed Sherwin-Williams Dryfall, and some ProBlock oil primer in a few spots to stop any bleeding through. We worked night shifts while spraying the ceilings because of other trades working during the day. There were lots of nooks and crannies, but we got it all covered! We had 6-8 sprayers going strong for many late nights, but in the end the ceilings turned out great. Shout out to Denny’s and Waffle House for feeding us all of those 3:00 am nights! Walls
For the walls we used ProMar 200 in an eggshell finish. After everything had been primed, the paint was applied by spraying and backrolling, sanding, and rolling again twice (3 total coats). The main colors that Burlington uses is Sherwin-Williams Silver Satin and Repose Gray – both are very popular neutral colors that we’ve used before. For the red accent areas, this is a PPG color called “Madeira Red“. This red is a nice, vibrant color and really makes these areas of the store pop. To get this color looking right, we applied 5-6 coats.
